Roof Repair vs. Replacement
When we inspect your roof, we will look at the extent of the damage first. We look for structural damage to the underlayments and decking — if the roof is compromised by extensive damage, you may be in need of a replacement. Next, we look to see what percentage of the total roof surface is affected. If more than 30% is damaged, a new roof installation is the best course of action.
However, if the problem is limited to one area and the damage is not too extensive, repair is a good option. Oaks is happy to repair asphalt shingle, flat (EPDM), and metal roofs. Repairing your roof is cost-effective and can extend the life of an older roof until you are ready to replace it.
